Gary Kushner heads the firm’s Bankruptcy Reorganization and Creditors’ Rights Group. He concentrates in the areas of commercial litigation, chapter 11 reorganization and related litigation. Gary represents a diverse constituency of clients including corporate debtors, secured creditors, banks and other financial institutions, unsecured creditors, landlords, asset acquisition entities and creditors’ committees in both bankruptcy cases and out-of-court workouts.
Gary engages his practice in a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, retail and real estate. He focuses a significant portion of his practice on bankruptcy litigation matters, often prosecuting or defending preference litigations, fraudulent conveyance litigations, dischargeability-related litigation and various other contested matters. Gary also handles various state court-related litigations, including replevin actions and complicated enforcement proceedings.
Gary is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association, where he has served as a guest speaker on various topics related to bankruptcy practice and procedure. He has been recognized by Long Island Business News and Who’s Who in Tax and Bankruptcy Law.
