|Maxwell J. Rubin, an associate at the firm, focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial and construction litigation in state and federal court. In both 2015 and 2016, he was named a New York Metro Area “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers for the field of Construction Litigation.
Max has represented several major construction companies in New York State Supreme Court trials. Max has successfully arbitrated commercial contract disputes as well as damage and delay claims. Max has represented general contractors in prevailing wage cases as well as contractors in union benefit disputes. Max is also a member of the New York City Bar Association Construction Law Committee and has lead presentations before the Nassau County Inns of Court.
Max regularly appears in New York, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Kings and Richmond Counties. Max is admitted to the New York State Bar, the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York.
While at the Hofstra University School of Law, Max was the President of the school’s Criminal Law Society. Max competed in the National Moot Court Competition and Max was a judge for the 2013 Peter James Johnson ’49 National Civil Rights Trial Competition.
