|Howard Rubin, an AV rated attorney by Martindale Hubbell, has been chosen for inclusion in Super Lawyers of New York for 2006 through 2017. He primarily represents closely held corporations in the food, hospitality, commercial real estate brokerage industries, and the evolving blockchain technology space, where he has been nationally recognized for his work on strategic and succession planning.
He services clients as not only a lawyer, but as a business consultant with the goal of helping clients meet their long-term needs, whether it be growth or an exit strategy. He serves as general counsel and on the advisory boards of several start-up and mid-sized companies in these industries.
Mr. Rubin lectures and writes extensively for numerous publications on the issues faced by closely held corporations. He believes legal advice must be tempered with business judgment and common sense, and acts as a sounding board for new ideas and developments related to his clients’ respective businesses. His goal is to provide practical solutions to serve his clients’ needs and solves problems within the framework dictated by his clients. He has been chosen to serve as a Neutral Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association on real estate issues and an associate member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
In more than 30 years of practice, Mr. Rubin has represented numerous Fortune 500 and privately held companies in the food space, as well as real estate, construction, not-for-profit, executive placement, pharmaceutical, wholesale consumer goods and apparel industries. He is a graduate of the City College of New York and Brooklyn Law School, and serves on the Board of Directors of numerous not-for-profit corporations.
Mr. Rubin serves as the President of the Herbert M. Citrin Charitable Foundation which provides grants in the areas of educations and special needs. He has served as a member of the Board of Advisers of RealBlocks, LLC as well as on the boards of numerous charitable organizations and is a recipient of the Mickey Mantle Community Service Award.
