Goetz Fitzpatrick wins judgment on behalf of Eastern Consolidated

In a major victory, Goetz Fitzpatrick LLP won summary judgment for its client Eastern Consolidated in a lawsuit seeking a commission on the sale of a building at 5 East 59th Street.

Eastern Consolidated, a real estate brokerage company, sued Alex and Tommy Demetriades for their failure to pay an agreed-upon 1.75 percent commission if a deal was reached with a buyer to whom Eastern introduced them. Represented by attorneys Howard Rubin and Douglas Gross, Eastern Consolidated will be awarded $650,000 commission plus interest and court costs.
