Neal M. Eiseman has been competitively selected for the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals for 2016. The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals is an elite a professional association whose membership consists of attorneys “distinguished by their hands-on experience in the field of civil and commercial conflict resolution and by their commitment to the practice of alternative dispute resolution.” Membership is by invitation only and limited to neutrals who have proven experience in the resolution of disputes. All members have been recognized for their accomplishments through a peer-nomination and client review process.
Eiseman’s skills in dispute resolution have been recognized by other professional organizations. In November 2015, the American Arbitration Association (AAA) selected him as a “Master Mediator” for its construction law panel in the Northeast Region. Only 25 mediators were selected for this honor, and only five based in New York.
Eiseman has extensive experience in dispute resolution activities. He is currently Chair of the ABA’s Committee on Arbitration, as well as a Fellow in the College of Commercial Arbitrators. In addition to teaching a graduate course at New York University in negotiation, he has written extensively on mediation, arbitration and negotiation, most recently in the Harvard Negotiation Law Review.
