In his practice of transactional business and real estate law, Barry Eisenberg emphasizes the essential and minimizes the inconsequential elements of each transaction. He represents and advises business clients in connection with shareholder, operating and employment agreements, business contracts, agreements to acquire, merge and sell; and financing. He represents commercial real estate clients in connection with purchases and sales, tax deferred exchanges, the preparation and negotiation of leases, construction, leasehold & mortgage financing, and the restructuring of debt. Together with our estate planning and probate attorneys, he advises clients about succession planning and the transfer of business and real estate assets.
Mr. Eisenberg's experience extends to the representation of a wide variety of business and real estate clients in connection with their local, state-wide, national and international interests. His clients include manufacturers; retailers; distributors; publishers, medical, dental and legal practices, construction contractors; owners of restaurants, sleep-away camps, and horse farms; commercial tenants; developers of residential and commercial real estate; purchasers and owners of apartment and mixed-use buildings, hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, industrial properties, and medical buildings.
He is a graduate of Queens College of the City University of New York, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. At Columbia Law School, he was an editor-in-chief of the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law, of which he remains a director. He is a former president of the White Plains Rotary, and a former member of the Air Force Reserves. Mr. Eisenberg is an A-V rated attorney.
